This policy applies to the public redsvillas.com website. redsvillas is the publication brand used on the site and is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. A separate verified operator legal name, postal address, Data Protection Officer, or statutory registration is not asserted on this page.
The policy reflects the website implementation reviewed on 25 September 2026. It is designed with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the final Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 in view, while recognising that their provisions have phased commencement dates. The policy does not claim a regulatory designation or exemption.
Current data map
The public site currently provides articles, category pages, desk pages, policy pages, images, a health endpoint, and a newsletter-request preview. It does not offer reader accounts, comments, purchases, payment collection, personalised recommendations, social login, or reader-facing advertising.
The newsletter-request preview runs in the reader’s browser. Submitting it displays an on-page message and clears the field. In the implementation reviewed for this policy, the email address is not sent to the redsvillas server, stored in the project database, or added to a mailing list.
- Newsletter preview: the typed email address remains in the browser form until submission, then the field is reset; it is not transmitted by the application.
- Support correspondence: if the designated mailbox is activated and receives a message, the sender’s address and message content would be processed to review and answer it.
- Technical requests: hosting and network systems may process an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, date and time, referrer, and security events needed to deliver and protect the site.
- Editorial subjects and sources: information used for publication is governed by the Editorial Standards and applicable law, not by a promise that all public information is exempt from privacy duties.
Why technical data may be processed
Basic request information may be used to deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate errors, maintain service availability, and protect the website and server. redsvillas does not state that this information is used for behavioural advertising, cross-site profiling, or the sale of reader data.
No broader purpose should be inferred from this policy. If analytics, advertising, accounts, comments, competitions, subscriptions, or another data-collecting feature is introduced, the relevant notice and controls must be updated before or with that change.
Retention and deletion
Because the newsletter preview does not transmit the entered address, redsvillas has no application-side newsletter record to retain or delete from that interaction. Technical logs may be retained for service operation, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, dispute handling, or backup integrity according to the responsible infrastructure configuration.
No absolute deletion promise or invented fixed period is made. A verified personal-data request may result in correction, updating, restriction, or erasure where appropriate, subject to lawful retention, security, evidentiary, backup, and record-preservation needs.
Security
The public website uses HTTPS and is served from a production system with access controls and an application process separated from the public web listener. redsvillas aims to use proportionate administrative and technical safeguards without publishing details that would weaken security.
No online service can promise perfect security. Readers should not send passwords, payment credentials, identity documents, medical records, or other sensitive information to the general support address unless redsvillas first provides a verified secure method and a specific reason.
Children
The public site is a general-audience entertainment publication and does not intentionally offer child accounts, behavioural tracking, targeted advertising, or a feature designed to collect personal data from children. Under the DPDP framework, a child is a person under 18.
A parent or guardian who believes a child’s personal data appears in a public article or has otherwise been provided to redsvillas may use the designated support address with the relevant page URL and a concise explanation. Do not send unnecessary identity documents through an unverified channel.
Your requests and choices
Depending on applicable law and the data actually held, an individual may request information about processing, correction, completion, updating, erasure, or grievance review. redsvillas may need enough information to identify the relevant record and to avoid disclosing data to the wrong person.
