Current commercial position
At the update date shown on this page, redsvillas does not describe reader-facing display advertising, sponsored articles, paid placements, affiliate or referral links, broker or exchange links, paid token promotion, or social promotions as active formats on the website.
This policy establishes the standard that must be followed before any commercial format is introduced. It does not claim an advertising department, sales partner, sponsorship register, or commercial contract that has not been implemented.
Editorial and advertising separation
A commercial relationship must not be disguised as independent reporting or criticism. If content is paid for, sponsored, branded, affiliated, gifted, hosted, invited, or influenced by another material connection, that relationship must be stated clearly in or near the content where a reader will see it before relying on the message.
A sponsor or advertiser may supply factual material, but it must not silently control the editorial verdict or suppress material context. Any approval right that affects editorial independence should be restricted and disclosed.
Clear labels and material connections
Labels should use direct language such as Advertisement, Sponsored, Paid promotion, Affiliate relationship, Gifted access, or Hosted attendance, as appropriate to the actual arrangement. The disclosure should not be hidden in a footer, hover state, long hashtag group, or vague wording.
Material connections may include money, free products, discounts, gifts, tickets, screenings, travel, accommodation, hospitality, media barter, awards or coverage arrangements, and family, personal, employment, or business relationships that a reader would not reasonably expect.
Truthful and supportable claims
An advertisement or endorsement must not falsely describe a product or service, give a false guarantee, conceal important information, or mislead about nature, quality, quantity, performance, availability, or price. Objective commercial claims should be supportable before publication.
A disclaimer may clarify a claim but cannot contradict the main message, hide commercial intent, or repair a misleading statement. A sponsored label does not legalise an unsubstantiated claim.
Reviews, access, and independence
Complimentary screening access, a festival invitation, hospitality, travel, accommodation, an interview opportunity, or a review copy can affect how readers assess independence and should be disclosed when material. Access does not require a positive review and must not be exchanged for an undisclosed favourable conclusion.
Children and restricted promotion
Commercial material must receive heightened review where it addresses children, exploits inexperience, makes unrealistic claims, directly urges a purchase, or concerns a product or service restricted by law. redsvillas does not accept a disclosure as a substitute for a lawful and responsible advertisement.
Reader concerns
A reader may report an unclear label or potentially misleading commercial statement through the Contact page. The request should identify the page, the disputed claim, the relevant relationship if known, and the reason the presentation may be unclear or misleading.
Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Commercial classification depends on the actual facts, relationship, benefit, and presentation.
